| How do I access MLearning?
Access MLearning by going to https://trainingportal.med.umich.edu. Login with your uniqname and Level 2 (Outlook) password.
You can also access by selecting the MLearning link from the Internal and Clinical homepages.
|Can I access MLearning from home?
MLearning can be accessed 24/7 from any location and any web browser by visiting https://trainingportal.med.umich.edu. Login with your uniqname and Level 2 (Outlook) password.
PLEASE NOTE: MLearning does not support Internet Explorer. You will need to use a different browser such as Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.
|I cannot login to MLearning.
|I completed this activity. Why is it still on my learning plan?
Activities remain on your learning plan until all required components are completed. Check to ensure that you have completed everything you are supposed to. If there’s only one activity listed and it has a Launch button, click Launch and read the requirements carefully on the resulting screen. It may mean that you have to complete the learning module as well as the quiz. Or you may have to do both a quiz and an attestation statement. Once all the required components are complete, the activity will move off of your learning plan and into your transcript.

|Why is my Personal Information incorrect in MLearning?
Personal information, including your job classification, your domain, and more, is sent to MLearning from MPathways, the HR datasource, and other data sources within UMHS. If your personal information is incorrect, the first step you should take is to contact HR to correct your information with them. Once that correction is in place, MLearning will receive the correction.
|I can’t open a quiz from my home computer. What can I do about it?
In order for MLearning to work you have to have certain things installed and working on your home computer. View the list of requirements.
|How do I get an activity off my learning plan?
You can only un-enroll from an activity in which you have self-enrolled. If you did not enroll yourself in the activity, you should talk to your manager or department’s Mlearning Facilitator about your need to complete it.
|Why is this activity on my learning plan?
Activities show up on your learning plan based on your job. UMHS requires that every staff person complete some set of activities depending on your job and location. If you are a clinician in a patient care setting, then you have one set of activities you have to complete. If you’re a non-clinician in a non-patient care setting, then you have a different set of activities you must complete. Combinations of job and location determine which activities are required of you.MLearning puts the activities that are required of you on your learning plan about 5 weeks before they are due. If you see an activity on your plan, you should complete it before the due date to remain in compliance with UMHS requirements.
|I took a class, attended a seminar or conference, wrote a paper. Can I add that to MLearning?
Your manager will refer to your MLearning transcript during your annual evaluation to see what progress you’ve made toward your goals. Record work-related activities that you completed/attended outside of UMHS. Activities could include conferences and seminars, professional development or college courses, papers, posters, and any work-related awards you’ve received.
|How do I check my transcript?
The “Completed Activities” page lists learning modules and instructor led classes which you have completed. The “Completed Certifications” page lists your completed certifications. A “Certification” is a group of learning activities that combine together to fulfill a single learning or training requirement. Your Mandatories and MiChart training are examples of Certifications because they often have multiple learning activities. Completed learning activities that are not combined together to fulfill a single requirement are found under “Completed Activities.”
|I want to take an activity in MLearning that isn’t in My Learning Plan. How can I find the activity?|
|Are temporary employees required to take mandatories?
All temporary employees at UHHC are required to complete the mandatory program. If the temp worker has attended the Michigan Traditions and Values (MTV) orientation, they are covered for a year from that date.If your temporary worker happens to be employed through a temporary agency such as Manpower, please contact our office at (734) 615-5146 to ensure that they are set up in MLearning appropriately to receive the mandatories. All other regular temps that are paid via the department will be loaded in MLearning automatically.
|Students with Missing Mandatories
If you are a student who is a clinical placement attempting to complete the mandatory training in MLearning but have missing activities, please contact us ASAP at (734) 615-5146 or email@example.com and let us know what program you’re in and what school you belong to and we will get you set up accordingly.
|Credit for Life Support classes ( BLS, CAC, ACLS, PALS or NALS)
There are two ways that staff receive credit in their MLearning Transcript for completion of Life Support classes (i.e. Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiac Arrest Competency (CAC), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neo-natal Advanced Life Support (NALS).
1. Complete the activity through the UH contractor Health Education Strategies (HES). Within two weeks of the class, HES will send the attendance roster to MLearning and staff will be credited in their transcript. Ordinarily, there is nothing else that needs to be done. However, if after two weeks you find credit hasn’t been granted, contact the MLearning Help Desk (firstname.lastname@example.org) with the your name, UMID#, class completed and date of completion. We will attempt to confirm completion with HES or ask you to fax (734)615-6021 a copy of the your card to the MLearning Help Desk.
2. Complete the activity from an outside contractor approved by the American Heart Association: The card will have the AHA stamp in the right hand corner. A copy of these cards should either be scanned and sent as an attachment in e-mail to email@example.com, or faxed to (734)615-6021. A card that does not have the AHA stamp is not valid and credit cannot be granted in MLearning. You will need to make arrangements to complete the activity through an AHA certified contractor.
If you notice that your BLS/CAC/ACLS/NALS/PALS certification date is incorrect in your transcript, fax copy of your card to (734) 615-6021 so that it can be corrected.

|How do know if I have been scheduled for MiChart training?
When your MLearning Facilitator registers you for a course you will receive an email notification and an Outlook calendar appointment for the classes in which you have been enrolled. Please hit “accept” in the appointment to add it to your Outlook calendar.
|I’m scheduled to attend a MiChart training session, but I need to change my date(s).
